Our Lady’s Grove Guidance Counselling Homepage
The quality of our students’ future contributions in society is partially determined by guidance received at school. The Guidance Department focuses on students’ overall well-being and prepares our students to manage their educational, occupational, personal, social and life choices so that they can reach their full potential and effectively contribute in future society.
A high quality and relevant guidance service is provided to our students. The Guidance Department is cognisant of the high skilled globally focused Knowledge society in which we live. To prepare students for life in that society, the Guidance Department facilitates the development of creative, self-aware, self-disciplined, self-directed life-long learners and decision makers with relevant behaviours, clear values, meaning, purpose, self-determination, strong intrapersonal, interpersonal and transferable skills.
Guidance counselling classes are timetabled for 4th, 5th, and 6th year students as an addition to the services provided by the Guidance Counsellor. Junior Cycle students are invited to meet the Guidance Counsellor as the need arises.
