Re: Board of Management – Parent Representatives
Dear Parents/Guardians,
The term of office of the present Board of Management will expire in mid October 2020.
It is therefore necessary to elect two Parent Representatives to the new Board, for the next three years. The nomination and election of the Parent Representatives will take place by postal ballot, using the simple majority vote. In the event of a tie, the elected parents will be determined by lot.
Both parents / guardians of each pupil enrolled in the school have the right to make two nominations from within the parent body. In the interest of gender balance, both male and female nominations are encouraged.
Before submitting any name, it is necessary:
- a) To consult with the person(s) you wish to nominate as to whether he / she is willing to go forward for election.
- b) To have each nomination seconded by your partner or another parent.
(Please be aware that the Board of Management meetings are usually held on Mondays, at 4.00p.m.)
Please return your nomination paper (file below) in a sealed envelope to: Mr. C. Dooley, Secretary Board of Management, Our Lady’s Grove Secondary School, Goatstown, Dublin 14, on or before
1.00p.m. on Wednesday 30th September 2020.
We regret nominations received after this date/time cannot be considered for election.
